Christmas Jumper Week
Last week, we introduced some festive fun into the we are aspire workplace with Christmas Jumper Week!
Not only was this a great way to get into the Christmas spirit and share their jumpers, but it was an opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause.
What is Christmas Jumper Week?
Christmas Jumper Day is an annual campaign run by the Save the Children charity, which is celebrated all around the UK. It helps everyone get into the Christmas spirit by wearing a festive jumper, and encourages people to donate to the cause when they take part.
All the proceeds go to children around the world who are in need of essentials to live, or to bring the magic back into their lives.
This is a cause that we strongly support at we are aspire, so we made the decision to run the campaign as a week-long event – to give all colleagues a chance to get involved at a time when most of us are working from home.
How did we get involved?
With most of our colleagues working from home, we ran Christmas Jumper Week as a virtual campaign. We asked colleagues to send us photos of them in their most festive jumpers – and to share their Christmas trees for people to enjoy.
Colleagues chose to send in their -photos as individuals, and even with their teams for those who were unable to work from home.
What was the outcome?
By the end of the campaign, we had received plenty of entries from colleagues all over the business – wearing a wide range of jumpers!
The competition was tough, with colleagues sharing sparkly penguins, tinsel-covered trees, and even some David Bowie themed knitwear! Most importantly, colleagues enjoyed themselves and raised some valuable funds for an important charity.
Thank you to all the colleagues who supported the campaign. We were delighted to be able to raise money for Save the Children and make a contribution to helping out children globally.
